Hi! I’m Dr. Laura Ellis-Lai. I will be leading the Texas State in Merida Summer Study Abroad Program this summer and I warmly invite you to join us!
I’ve been teaching in the Department of English at Texas State University since 2004 and I love teaching and learning alongside my students. I hold an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Texas State University, an Ed.M. in Arts in Education from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I’ve lived and studied abroad in Mexico and Spain as an undergraduate and graduate student and I can personally attest to the life-altering impact a study abroad experience can make on your life!
